Five quick questions with Maria

How did you get into playing slots?

I started playing the slotmachines at my favourite restaurant when I was younger. I loved the thrill of it, so it became a reward for me to be able to play. Then that grew into playing online & heading into the career of slots and casinos. 10+ years down the line and I’ve collected knowledge on both sides of the coin, which I’m so grateful for.

Why can you call yourself a slot expert?

I have worked at various Game Providers when I lived in Stockholm, where I learnt everything that goes on behind the scenes when making new slots. Even though I worked mostly with the design aspect, it was important for me to fully understand every part of the process and what makes a slot great. On top of that I have of course also played countless slot machines for many years, so I think I’m on top of it!

Did you ever gamble in Las Vegas?

No, not yet! It’s a dream of mine that I hope to make happen within a year or two. I’ve been planning it in my head for a long time.

Dream vacation destination?

Well, expect for Las Vegas, I would say Japan. Their culture is so different from ours here in the west and I’m just so fascinated by it! I can’t wait to have a proper bowl of Ramen Noodles in a local restaurant.

Favourite thing about working for Slotsoo?

The people! It’s so fun to connect with both my co-writers and our readers. We all share the same hobby after all, so there is just no end to our conversations.
