Playson is a seasoned slot maker with a smaller library that packs a big punch. Having been around for so long, their library feels like it’s much larger than 85 slots. They cover a lot of ground in their games, though two things stand out – they really like glossy art and they really, really like Hold and Win slots. While games are what put Playson on the map, they’re helped by an ever-growing network of partners and their own in-house technology suite that other providers use.

When looking at Playson features, three words come to mind – Hold and Win! Sticky bonuses are very popular across the whole slot market, but Playson loves to throw the ‘Hold and Win’ subtitle on most of their games nowadays. That said, they also have Hit the Bonus and a few brushes with Megaways in the past, too.
If you love Hold and Win, then you’ll like a lot of what Playson has to offer. However, it does add a certain predictability to their games. Playson slots like to sit at around 95.50%, but they do let casinos host games at lower RTP values like 94%. It’s just outside of the 96-97% gold zone that a lot of providers lean toward, but we think it’s not enough that it should put players off. They don’t have an in-house rating system for volatility – no spicy chilli or thunder symbols here – but most games fall in medium to high volatility brackets.

If they want to join larger providers, then higher max wins could help get more eyes on them. Many of our issues are the same ones that plague other slot studios who find success – they repeat old wins and fall into a pattern that harms creativity and game feature variety. Many players love the same old themes in slots, that’s a fact, but the most creative providers strike a balance between popular appeal and unique slot setups.
