Bear’s Tricks Slot Explained
Bear’s Tricks comes from the pros at Belatra Games, who decided to create a fruit slot that eschews more traditional themes and instead focuses on the antics of a cartoon bear. Set in the world of Berry Land, here you’ll find a blue checkered 7×7 grid filled with different leaf and fruit symbols.
You play by matching fruits in groups of five to 25 pieces. As you and the bear start poaching fruit by the cluster, Multipliers will start to appear in the empty spaces left behind. They can boost future wins, so long as the cluster forms over those spaces. A Free Games mode and seven different Boosters can make building that Multiplier easier.
Bear’s Tricks Quickfacts

Bear’s Tricks Symbols
The Bear’s Tricks grid has ten basic symbols that are each modeled after a tasty fruit or a green leaf. The three leafy symbols are the lowest paying, while the juiciest fruit of them all, the watermelon, is #1. With fruits like the watermelon and the raspberry, it’s easier to see that they’re rendered in a simple but sophisticated semi-3D art style with a glossy shine added to them. These symbols pay anywhere so long as they are connected vertically/horizontally.
Our goofy bear companion represents the Scatter symbol, and he isn’t a paying symbol. Like most online slots, he’s the key to getting into the Free Games mode. Thanks to the Win Boosters, there are also Wilds, coins, TNT crates, petards, rockets, fans, and piggy bank symbols that can appear on the grid.

Bear’s Tricks Features
The bear has a lot of tricks that can help you out as you play – we’ve explained each one here:
- Scatters: Scatters are very simple in this game – land four of them to trigger eight Free Game spins. If you land more, you can get up to 11 spins.
- Tumbles: Clustered fruits turn to liquid and disappear, leaving empty spaces on the grid. When that happens, the fruit above it will tumble downward to fill empty spaces. This can result in multiple wins from a single spin!
- Multipliers: If two wins happen in the same cell, a Multiplier will form and modify any future clusters that form there. Starting at 2x, they can grow to 4x, 8x, 16x, 32x, 64x, 128x, 256x, 512x, and 1,024x Multipliers. In the base game, these spaces reset with a new spin.
- Free Games: Free Games start automatically if you land enough Scatters. For these spins, Multipliers won’t clear. If Free Games starts using six or more Scatters, then Win Boosters are guaranteed during these spins.
- Win Boosters: Seven special Boosters can appear after a Tumble. These include Wilds, TNT that removes cheap symbols, petards that boost multipliers on the grid, coins that can get collected by a piggy bank, rockets that summon large (2×2 to 5×5) symbols, or ventilator fans that shuffle the grid into matching clusters.
- Buy Bonus: This slot gives players the option to purchase Free Games or a random Win Booster.
- Bet+25%: In this feature, players put down 25% more of their stake for an increased chance of Free Games and Win Boosters appearing.

Bear’s Tricks Winning Potential
Let’s look past this slot’s whimsical action and focus on what really matters – the winning potential it offers to players.
Bear’s Tricks Max Win
The max win in Bear’s Tricks is 10,000x your stake. If you hadn’t guessed already, you can get there by stacking as many Multipliers as possible. This max win is straight down the middle for Belatra Games – a lot of their slots offer 5,000x max wins while some of them go up to 25,000x. With that context, Bear’s Tricks offers a rewarding but not groundbreaking max win for players.
Bear’s Tricks Volatility
The intro screen for Bear’s Tricks features a handy little table that gives players a lot of information. It shows that this slot is rated eight pips out of ten, so we can safely say it’s one of their high volatility slots. This translates into an unpredictable experience where spins may not pay out as often, but when they do, the prize is larger than low volatility counterparts. This was somewhat in line with our experience – cluster slots lend themselves well to small, frequent wins, but it took over 20 spins to trigger a Free Game event.
Bear’s Tricks RTP
The intro table of Bear’s Tricks also proudly displays the RTP for this game – 96.05%. This is a lower RTP than some slots, but it’s still in the 96-97% zone that players tend to flock towards. Every casino we’ve seen offers the game at 96.05%, including those hosted at Hell Spin and Bizzo Casino.

Casinos with Bear’s Tricks Free Spins
There are no special free spin offers for Bear’s Tricks at any of the online casinos we’ve covered. It makes sense when you consider that Bear’s Tricks is a newer release from Belatra Games, which is an up-and-coming developer.
Casinos prefer to offer free spins for older, proven slots from large providers instead. For example, classics like Sweet Bonanza and Gates of Olympus tend to attract these free spin promotions.
Bear’s Tricks Game Variations
There’s just one version of Bear’s Tricks available. Belatra Games doesn’t often make sequels or spinoffs for their successful slot games. They’ve done the occasional Christmas makeover, so maybe winter will come to Berry Land in the future.
Find Bear’s Tricks Alternatives
For action similar to Bear’s Tricks, you’ll want to look at fruit slots (that don’t use classic themes) and animal slots. Most bears in animal slots are the fierce, realistic kind, but there are notable exceptions!
The 3 Bears by Four Leaf Gaming is one example. It’s a slot inspired by the Goldilocks folk tale, so it opts for a more light-hearted art style when depicting the bears. If other cartoon animals interest you, then you can find plenty in a game like Mega Moolah. For more fruity cluster action, you should look at Jammin’ Jars instead. Maybe you just want a slot that transports you to a fantasy land, in which case Lucky Forest fits the bill.
Our Bear’s Tricks Rating
Bear’s Tricks is a neat escape to Berry Land where those Multiplier wins can sneak up on you during high-volatility clustered action. Despite being a fruit slot, it breaks with classic aesthetics and creates a whimsical fantasy world that isn’t ancient Greece or Sweden during the Viking age. It’s a serviceable delivery mechanism for Bear’s Tricks’ unique combination of Multiplier Tumbles and Win Boosters.
Its win potential isn’t groundbreaking – it should feel familiar to players thanks to its 96.05% RTP and nobody would complain if they hit the 10,000x max prize. It’s a competent cluster slot that brings frequent wins, and the occasional Booster that changes the game in one of seven different ways. Our final rating is 4.3.
