Slammer Studios
Slammer Studios is a new slot provider that wants to pack a punch. They know they need to make “slot games that slam” to stand out and make a name for themselves in a bustling online slots market. Treating every new release as a chance to “bring our fresh ideas to life”, Slammer Studios has so far lived up to that promise with several truly unique slot themes. Today we’re doing a deep dive into Slammer Studios, where they came from, and how their current releases measure up against other providers in the space.

The Best Slammer Studios Slots

Slammer Studios Company Information
Slammer Studios may be a new venture but make no mistake – it’s formed from a team that knows what they’re doing. Before Slammer Studios was formed, Blue Guru Games was founded in 2021 with a HQ in Malta and offices around the world. While they operated independently, they were part of LeoVegas’ Leo Ventures program. The Blue Guru portfolio often reaches for unique premises, many inspired by niche historical events like the Australian Emu War or the St Louis 1904 Summer Olympics.
Deals with Relax and Bragg Gaming followed, and then the same team formed Slammer Studios in Q4 of 2024. While it may seem like a simple name rebrand, the old Blue Guru slots have a separate “partner portfolio” section on the Slammer Studios site. It seems they want to keep a distinction between the debut releases under Slammer Studios and the older releases from Blue Guru Games. Slammer Studios has a B2C license from the Malta Gaming Authority, allowing their games to enter MGA licensed casinos.

Free Spin Offers for Slammer Studios
Slammer Studios is very new, so you won’t find tailored Free Spin offers for the few games they’ve released so far. That said, Slammer Studios is under the Relax umbrella which helps their new releases go far and wide. Casinos we’ve reviewed before, like Rollino, have Slammer Studios’ games under the Relax filter.
Others, like 21 Casino have Mystic Multipliers (and Blue Guru’s St. Louis 1904) under their own Slammer Studios section. Likewise, Arctic Casino has a joint Slammer Studios/Blue Guru filter option. If your favorite casino doesn’t have Slammer Studios titles, try filtering by Relax Gaming instead!

Games Provided by Slammer Studios
After less than a year of operation as Slammer Studios, they have released two slot games with a third title, Legend of Odysseus, on the way. It’s typical for a new studio to take its time forming valuable partnerships in the space before ramping up slot production in the second or third year. The few slots they have released are quite unique, showcasing this provider’s dedication to new themes and settings.
While they have just two confirmed slots, their work is built on the experience of Blue Guru Games, which had six other games released before the team switched focus. It’s too early to say if Slammer Studios is following a distinct creative trend, though they have continued Blue Guru’s targeting of niche, unexplored historical events.
Magawa vs Mines is inspired by the real-life heroRATs – pet rats used to find and (safely) disarm mines in modern-day Cambodia. Their second slot takes players back in time, to the druids of Mystic Multipliers. While the big providers like Pragmatic Play or the Swedish developer Yggdrasil Gaming focus on Norse culture, this Slammer slot instead focuses on the overlooked Celtic culture that was there before the Vikings showed up.
News from Slammer Studios 2025
Since they officially formed in November of 2024, Slammer Studios has been busy issuing press releases, new game announcements, and partnership news. Their website (which is very high-quality for a provider this small) also features a dedicated page for these news items.
After ending their year on a high with the December 2024 gaming distribution deal with Relax Gaming, Slammer released their second game at the end of January 2025. In May 2025, they announced their third upcoming release – Legend of Odysseus.
They may be a new name in the industry, but in 2025 we found them worthy winners of the Promising Prodigy trophy at Slotsoo’s Game Provider Awards. This award is reserved for new studios with a bright future ahead of them. Needless to say, we’ll watch Slammer Studios’ future releases with great interest!

Slammer Studios Review
- High-quality slots exploring niche cultures and stories from history.
- Widespread distribution powered by an MGA license and Relax partnership.
- Prior experience and proven track record for delivering unique titles.
- A smaller studio with very few slots.
- Slower slot release schedule during its early years.
Overall, Slammer Studios is probably in the best possible position they can be in for a new studio. Unlike a truly new provider, they have the legacy of Blue Guru Games to build off of, and the backing of Relax Gaming. That means their games are high-quality – they look good, play well, and delve into historical events that don’t get mainstream attention. However, they are held back by their small library and slow slot release schedule. Those should clear up in time, but they make it difficult to draw conclusions on if this studio is improving or settling.
Creativity
If it wasn’t clear already, Slammer Studios prides itself on delivering new experiences to its players. This was a habit carried over from Blue Guru Games, which made games inspired by Napoleon’s rabbit hunt, the Terracotta Army, and other historical episodes. Slammer Studios’ first release – Magawa vs Mines – is one of the most unique slot premises we’ve seen. Magawa was the name of the most successful rat in Cambodia’s APOPO, a program that trains rats to sniff out buried mines. Not the usual slot theme, to say the least!
Mystic Multipliers isn’t quite so obscure – it looks like your typical leafy fantasy setting at first glance – but it still manages to go for the less obvious inspirations for its setting. You’re accompanied by a druid, a Celtic shaman once believed to be connected with nature. Celtic equals Irish for a lot of slot developers, who focus on stories of Leprechauns and pots of gold, but Mystic Multipliers is a far cry from jolly Irish slots like Clover Fortunes by Four Leaf Gaming (another Silver Bullet member). Even with historical slots, the invading Vikings or Romans soak up a lot more attention.
This is all to say that the slots themselves are made with very high-quality art and animations. Every game features moving sprites and symbols, and one thing that stood out to us was how well Magawa vs Mines’ reels are integrated into the setting. There’s no garish border, instead, they’re seamlessly disguised as a muddy minefield. This isn’t the case with Mystic Multipliers, but some effort was made to blend the reels into the forest background.
We think that Slammer Studios has entered the scene with truly new games, but only time will tell if they keep that creativity going forward. Their upcoming release, Legend of Odysseus, seems to balance a popular Greek myth setting with a story that often gets overshadowed by Zeus, the Spartans, or other Greek cultural items.
Game Features
Before we get into the game features, it should be said that Slammer Studios is at a disadvantage due to its limited game library. We can praise aspects of each release, but there’s no telling how their application of game features may change in the future. With that said, there’s impressive game feature variation between their first two slot releases.
Game features are at their best when they stand out, provide a sense of accomplishment, and fit perfectly with the theme of the game. In Magawa vs Mines, the Rat Run features does all three. When activated, this feature sees Rat Wilds run over to any mystery mines on the grid and reveal them. When that happens, there’s a chance the Chain Reaction feature causes all other mines to explode. It takes two common symbols – Wilds and Mystery Symbols – and creates a special synergistic relationship between them.
Mystic Multipliers swaps those features out for the mystic progressive Multiplier, a four-level Multiplier that starts at x2 and can grow to x3, x4, and x5. It gets supercharged during Free Spins, where it can reach as high as 500x. There’s also the druid feature drops where a random buff – Wilds, reel expansions, Scatter re-spins – can all drop in the base game.
Both slots are cluster slots – that could get samey if they don’t invest in other pay mechanisms in the future. Due to that uncertainty, we’ve capped Slammer Studios’ game feature rating.
Winning Potential
Slammer Studios provides a sweeping selection of RTP percentages for casinos to choose from. Both of their games have an RTP option of around 85%, 93%, and 96%, and we expect this to continue into the future. On your side of the equation, this means you can look around to find the RTP percentage that you prefer.
Of the two slots, one is high volatility while the other is medium volatility. We think it’s too early to draw a conclusion here, but we’d expect they continue delivering medium to high volatility slots as that’s where the largest audiences are. The prize pots of both games are quite generous for a studio of this size – Magawa tops out at 20,000x your spin while Mystic Multipliers can reach 10,000x. If a five-figure prize pot stays the average, then Slammer Studios could generate a lot of interest going forward.
Slammer Studios Conclusion & Rating
In time, we think Slammer Studios will make the impact they’ve named themselves after. The word of the day is unique when it comes to this provider – from their uncommon settings to their cooperating symbol features. We think it’s only a matter of time before they strike a perfect balance between eye-catching mainstream appeal and a gameplay experience that other slots just don’t offer. All it’d take is one or two hits, delivered through Relax as distributor, to put their name on the map.
This isn’t guaranteed, and it hinges on them continuing the same design philosophy that they’ve started with. In the meantime, this is a provider that you should watch if you’re after new and interesting slot experiences.
